The Story

Renasant Bank had been using a competing cash forecasting solution but continued to encounter manual processes and forecasting challenges that hindered efficiency. The turning point came when Renasant acquired another financial institution that was already using Logicpath’s C3 Financial. The contrast in operational efficiency was immediately clear. The acquired bank’s streamlined currency supply chain opened Renasant’s eyes to a more automated, accurate, and strategic approach to cash management.

Motivated by this insight, Renasant made the decision to implement C3 Financial, integrating it seamlessly with FIS Teller Insight and Loomis. This allowed them to automate their forecasting and cash ordering processes, creating full visibility into the entire lifecycle of cash - from the initial forecast, through order creation and assembly, to transportation, delivery, and even deposit forecasting. The result was a connected, transparent supply chain that eliminated guesswork and reduced friction.

As part of their optimization strategy, Renasant set their average confidence level per denomination at 85%, striking the right balance between ensuring availability and minimizing excess. C3 Financial has consistently outperformed that benchmark, delivering forecasting accuracy of 97.3%, giving the team the confidence to operate with tighter, smarter cash controls.

The impact has been significant. Renasant achieved a 22.48% reduction in overall cash on hand, which translated into $13.2 million in freed capital. That capital reinvested at a 4.5% return, generates $561,000 annually, over seven times the cost of the C3 Financial platform.

Beyond the financial outcomes, the transformation drastically improved internal workflows. Teams involved in cash management reported spending roughly 65% less time on related tasks, freeing up resources for higher-value activities and decision-making.

A key component of Renasant’s success has been the strength of their partnership with Logicpath. The U.S.-based support team, made up of former bankers and experienced client service professionals, provided hands-on guidance throughout implementation and continues to offer proactive, responsive support.

To gain deeper insight into Renasant’s success, Logicpath sat down with their Cash Management Team, who shared how the partnership and platform have driven meaningful operational improvements across the organization.

How has Logicpath improved your financial institution’s operations and efficiency?

The branches would input orders into one system then email their deposits to Cash Management. Each order/deposit would be manually keyed in by endpoint then denomination. It was unorganized, dates of service would get missed, and branches would hoard excess cash. The Fedline extract, accuracy in guidance, and one step approval for orders/deposits has been beneficial to our daily operations. Logicpath has made the process more efficient and seamless.

Can you share any specific challenges you were facing before using C3 Financial?

The main challenge we faced was branches ordering large amounts of currency. The amounts were not needed to service are clients. Additionally, there were no set days for service with our cash courier. An email would have to be sent each time a branch had be serviced by our courier. Adding Logicpath has provided a way for us to streamline the cash management process in one location. It gives a clear overview of the daily demand and needs for our branches.
